Food Around The World
The food is delicious and we want to show you, different types of dishes around the world.
First we are going to talk about:
Costa Rica
1 lb (450 gr.) Black beans. Fresh are best but most likely you’ll find them dried.
8-10 sprigs cilantro (coriander leaf) fresh or frozen, not dried!
1 small or medium onion
½ small red or yellow sweet pepper (optional)
3 cups (700 ml) chicken broth or water
2 cups (350 ml) white rice
½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
1 Tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil
1-3 Tablespoon oil to fry the Gallo Pinto.

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
12 taco shells
6 oz. (1 1/2 cups) shredded American or Cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded lettuce
2 tomatoes, chopped
3/4 cup salsa
3/4 cup sour cream, if desired.
Nicaragua
Baho- Ingredients
Tomatoes, seeded and chopped -- 3
Onions, thinly sliced -- 3
Garlic, chopped -- 8 to 10 cloves
Orange juice -- 1 cup
Lime juice -- 1 cup
Salt -- 4 tablespoons
Green plantains, peeled and halved crosswise -- 4
Ripe plantains or bananas, peeled and halved crosswise -- 4
Yuca (cassava), peeled and cut into large pieces -- 2 pounds
Banana leaves
Cabbage slaw -- 1 recipe
Colombia
Changua- Ingredients
4 cups milk.
2 cups water.
4 eggs.
½ cup chopped fresh cilantro, plus more for serving.
3 scallions chopped.
Salt and pepper.
Bread with butter to serve.
Argentina
Choripán -Ingredients
One Pork, beef or chicken chorizo sausages per person.
Baguette or classic bread. (Toasted if possible)
South Korea
4 cups cooked short grain rice
2 eggs
4 long carrot strips cut lengthwise in 1/3-inch x 1/3-inch
4 long pickled Damion radish strips cut lengthwise in 1/3-inch x 1/3-inch
4 long imitation crab meat strips cut lengthwise in 1/3-inch x 1/3-inch
1 cup blanched spinach
1 tablespoon sesame oil
pinch of salt
1 cup chopped Korean style bbq beef
